TWO THUMBS  WAY UP TO  THE  TOWN OF BANFF IN CANADA

Banff, town of  8,000 nestled among the Rocky Mountains is trying  significantly reduce its carbon footprint and help slow down global overheating by erecting solar panels, replacing its fleet of municipal vehicles like street sweepers and ice resurfacers with hybrid and electric models, anti-food waste initiatives, wildlife awareness, and environmental rebates.
The mayor of Banff, Karen Sorensen states, “As long as we can continue to create programs that make it easy for  people  to do the right thing ... I don’t know why somebody wouldn’t.”
