THUMBS WAY UP TO SUNDROP FARMS!

THUMBS WAY UP TO SUNDROP FARMS!

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GROW 15, 000 TONNES OF TOMATOES  (180,000 plants) IN A DESERT WITH-
  •    NO GROUND WATER
  •    NO SOIL
  •    NO PESTICIDES
  •    NO FOSSIL FUEL?

 A RESOUNDING YES! 🙆
The face of farming in the future is taking place in the Australian desert in futuristic greenhouses.
How is this possible you might ask?
  • ·   solar  power is generated by 23, 000 mirrors that reflect sunlight towards a 27 metre receiver tower-no fossil fuels needed
  • ·   seawater is piped in and desalinated
  • ·    no pesticides are needed as sea water cleans and sterilizes the air
  • ·   plants grow in coconut husks instead of soil

Sundrop Farms is planning similar sustainable greenhouses in  Portugal, US and Australia. 😊
